Rob Prescott is co-founder of Behavjōr, a behaviour-led design and research consultancy in Sydney.
He has been at this for 25 years. He trained as an industrial designer at the University of Technology Sydney, taught himself digital in the mid-1990s, and came up through most of the channels that built the local industry. Advertising at Wunderman and DTDigital. Content at ninemsn. Product and ecommerce at Westfield. He went on to build and run the Sydney office of Symplicit, where he was Partner and General Manager NSW through the 2015 acquisition by DWS Group.
In 2018 he co-founded Behavjōr to create an agency where he could be hands on with the craft again, creating and directing the work. At Behavjor he focusses on research and evidence first, leading design on the tools, and bringing strategy and delivery into the same room.
He also spent two years as Director of Digital at Fliteboard, helping to design how people fly over water on an electric hydrofoil, and advised Ctrl+Shft on measuring digital safety in schools. What he looks for is the problem a client has worked around so long they have stopped seeing it. It is almost always worth more than the brief they walked in with.
Investor and advisor, Ctrl+Shft.
